How long will it take me to grow my hair as long as this?

My hair is about two inches (possibly more) past my shoulders when I wear it in the style JoJo is wearing it in the picture; how long will it take me to grow it to that length? My hair is of similar texture, but less thick.

Also, do I get regular trims while I'm trying to grow it or do I just leave it be and not trim it? Detailed answers appreciated!

Normal rate of growth is around 1/2 inch a month.... But if your's grow's an inch your doing great.... I would think if you do the following below and your hair continue's to grow that inch a month then it will take about 4-5 months, maybe sooner.... Hair seems to grow faster in the warmer months :O) For starter's don't cut !!!! Salons want you to have your have trimed often because they want your money.... Hair grows from the roots and not the ends... If you don't have split ends then your hair doesn't need a trim.... Longer you can go between trims the longer your hair will get.... The more you trim the shorter your hair is going to get :o( Patience is Key !!!! No heat is a major part also.... That means no hair dryers, curling irons or products of any kind..... They are bad for your hair and only damage what hair you do have :o( As for split ends.... If you do have them trim only right about where is needed or do a dusting.... One of best ways to reduce split ends and breakage of your hair so it can grow long is let your hair air dry and then comb out.... DON'T brush while your hair is wet.... Hair is like elastic and when wet is more prone to streching out and breaking.... Try to avoid brushing so much.... Use a wide tooth comb.... Massaging your head will help stimulate your growth also.... Anywhooo.... Good luck :O) Just a warning though.... There is NO fast way to grow hair long.... It takes time and patientce.... O and again NO PRODUCTS they will only hurt your hair in the long term.... I use Redken Clear Moisture shampoo and conditioner and love it.... Again Good Luck....

My hair is the same length as yours and i want to grow it to the same length that you do. It would take (roughly) a little less than one year, seeing as the average hair only grows 6 inches per year. I'd recommend that you trim it every 4 months. Just get 1/2 an inch off.

well for the trimming thing you have to think about it this way, your hair does not grow from the tips it grows from the root. I only have to trim my hair once a year because I use really good shampoos and conditioners and do not blow dry my hair. every person is different when it comes to hair growth. they do have pills at the health food stores that can help with hair growth(it also helps with nail growth also).

It is recommended that you cut your hair every month to cut out split ends and to help it grow. I'm not sure how much time this legnth of hair takes someone to grow, but I'm guessing six months or more. Having this hair legnth is nice because you can style it differently, but you also need to take good care of it so it can be healthy. It's a hassle to comb too, but I think its worth growing.

Use coconut oil. Very pure, natrual, and healthy for your hair. You can find it at Indian grocery stores, it makes your hair so healthy and prevent split ends so your hair practically grow sout, it takes up to three months to see resutls tho and it grows very long, just be patience.

When it comes to having beautiful, full hair my best answer would be henna. Make sure you don't use lemon or lime juice in your recipe when you make the henna as they can cause your hair to break if it's already weak. Rain water is usually acidic enough to get a nice colour out of the henna as well and won't harm your hair further. Try using the henna as often as you can it should thicken your hair and keep it healthy. If you don't want the red of the henna you may want to look for "neutral" or "colourless" henna. It will do as nice a job for your hair but without the colour. With the neutral henna you just have to mix it with tap water, this should be used as often as possible. If there are any skin problems on your scalp the henna or neutral henna will both help fight it. The last idea I have would be to take coconut oil and massage your head with it every night.
