ummm i have EXTREMELY long hair. i hate to say it but i look like a hippy. ummm....is that kewl like starting a fad or just plain pathetic. and im not one of those people whose moms forbid them from cutting their hair....i just dont know if it is a "fashionably okay" style. thanks

Its fine. It does depend on your age though. If your hair is extremely long and not styled it will look childish and unglamorous. But as long as you keep your hair clean, nobody will judge you for it.

However if you want to make it more fashionable, I would get it cut a little. Try to trim it down a little below your shoulder area, and get layers, something like that. I used to have extremely long hair too and I didnt want to cut it because I felt much too attached to it. But my mom finally convinced me by saying that it would grow back and I wouldnt have to cut it again if I didn't want to. I got it cut so that it was still long but not long enough for everyone i pass by to say "wow, you have really long hair!"

Honestly, I absolutely love it. I'll never go back.

my hair is down to almost the bottom of my back. and people say "man you need to cut ur hair shorter" (i am not a man just to tell you that lol ha) but that i about the longest you can get before it looks tackyish! i hope i helped!

If you are male - go with what you want! I think long hair is COOL, but not kewl (LOL)

If female - long hair is pretty and men love it, but if you color it or anything like that, it will become damaged eventually. Make sure you have a trim every so often to get rid of the splits and use a good conditioner

long hair is good but no offense if you look like a hippy that is just ridiculous and pathetic sorry but thats the truth. you might want to get a few inches cut off it can still be really long though, and you could try bangs or some layers or something so it looks less hippy-ish

i'd cut it to the middle of the back.. but that migh tbe where it already is. dontate the hair to locks of love or sumthin.. just make sure you dont have split ends

I love long hair lik down to the hips, but one thing about it is that if it gets some odd waves you might want to be carefull, and use certain shampoos cause when you get those waves it starts to look a little ratty, and messy. I do love the hippy look myself trying to grow my hair long.

I think if your l@@king for a change you should go for a nice little bob, or maybe just cut off a few inches. I don't know your personal style, and that's what really matters. You need to be able to love your hair, and feel confident.

if you do not dye your hair and you take good care of it, it should look very nice to have long hair. mine was down to my butt a few months ago but I dyed it so much that I had to chop more than half of it off! just make sure to trim and you can still cut it without losing all the length to look more "now".

Men tend to appreciate the look of long hair a lot. If your hair is healthy looking and not all dry and frizzy looking then I bet it is very nice looking! The way you keep your hair is entirely up to you! Hair is only a cosmetic thing.... anything goes these days!

if you are a guy then I suggest that you cut it. I personally short hair looks best on guys and only some guys look goo dwith long hair.
