Anyways...I saw that pick of what you look like. You shouldn't change your hair color, since it looks like you have frickles and I never seen a blonde person or black haired person with frickles.

If you just like the style, you can still get it without dying your hair or trying to become someone else to fit that style. If you like it, who cares what others think? If you want to dye it, I would say just a bit darker, a light brunette maybe, to keep it natural looking.

I would prefer if you would not choose the emotional hairstyle.The campaign of the emotionals is another twig of capitalism that has as its solely purpose to affect the mass,in other words it is a strong form of fashion.As weird as it may sound fashion makes you ugly.Because every person has its own characteristics and they must wear clothes that will reflect their character,equal things.When everybody select one kind of outwear it is impossible to fit to most of them because everybody has a personality and the emotional one is not streaming from your inner-self.A style you would mostly prefer on you would be the best one.Just ignore all the opinions,ideals,stereotypes and models you know in your current life and experiment in an abstract way what you would like your hair to be like.

Anyways, dying your hair at any age isn't exactly going to do your hair any favors health wise, but especially if you're younger. Definitely discuss your plan and your options with your stylist. As far as not being emo goes...who cares what others think? If you like the style then hold your head up high and flaunt it with confidence! Don't let yourself be ruled by stereotypes!
