get your hair cut with long layers. i have them and absoluetly love them. when you have your hair down they curl around your face and sort of frame it and when you wear it up your hair up you can have them down for extra fun.
do you mean bangs instead of bands? if so long thick bangs (like this: http://www.vogue.co.jp/fashion/models/im... ) are in fashion. they're really mod but can be worn to look girly to punk. you can also have side bangs which i think look really good too.
