Have you really looked at some of the crap women have done to their hair today? I walk by some and have to bite my cheek to keep from laughing at them, they look so ridiculous.

There weren't all the products that there are today and of course, styles change with the times.

In the 80's, I took all the time I needed to get my hair as big and pouffy as possible. I had a lot more hair then, but it didn't take that long. Those women were mavericks back then - to cut your hair off was a sin, practically.

My Mother was born in 1922 and according to all the pictures I have seen. Twas the style, and from what I have seen in old pictures of her and her friends, they all had different styles and you could not say any of them were as today's styles. Was the way they did it and it looked stupid. But they were following the style and some still wear hair nets to go to bed with as that was the style also.
